Mrs. Erica Brown

I look forward to a GREAT school year every year!  I have been teaching for over 16 years and have taught PreK, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th Grades as well as being a reading tutor for grades K-12.  I have a reading specialist background and LOVE all aspects of teaching.  When people ask me to pick a favorite grade I simply can't do it because each grade is special in its own way.

I believe in the power of positivity, teamwork, and maintaining a growth mindset in a safe and collaborative classroom environment.  In my classroom we will learn a lot, laugh a lot, and celebrate a lot!  With teamwork and a good attitude, I encourage all of my students to push themselves to accomplish all that they are capable of and always be setting goals for the future.  EVERY learner looks different and each learner is capable of great things.  I am passionate about teaching and maintaining organization and time management skills that will equip students to be independent, confident, and successful learners.  I also enjoy incorporating technology to enhance learning in the classroom, as students are more prepared for the outside world and future grades.  I look forward to getting to know your child and working with you in partnership to secure your child's success academically, socially, and emotionally.

My family and I moved to Idaho to relocate for my husband's job in the summer of 2019 and we really enjoy it here in BOY-SEE!  I have a wonderful husband, two smart and rambunctious boys, and a sweet and furry cat named Haggis.  We enjoy outdoor activities as a family such as tubing, snowboarding, and biking.  We enjoy indoor activities as well, such as binge watching television shows, playing board games, and trying new recipes.  I am looking forward to getting to know your student and your family more this year!
