Week of: November 18th-22nd
Instead of our weekly Journey’s story, we will be studying Native American Legends. The students will be writing their own legends and presenting them in class at the end of the week. In addition to writing their own legend, students will also be participating in a Native American Legends Reader’s Theater. There will still be a Word Study Quiz on Friday.
This week we will be taking a topic quiz on long division. To be successful with the division and multiplication algorithms it is extremely important that your student is practicing their multiplication facts at home. Please encourage them to spend 10 minutes a day on Rocket Math or practicing their multiplication facts.
Scholastic book orders are due this Wednesday. Please send those in with your student or submit them online.
We are having a small Fall Party in our classroom this Friday at aproximately 1:30pm. A message was sent out last Friday on ClassDojo with details about the party. If you have any questions, please contact our Room Mom, Ashley at email@example.com as she is coordinating the party.
Our Thanksgiving holiday break is next week, November 25-29. A Reading Log will not be required over break but, please encourage your student to continue reading nightly.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. Thank you for all that you do!
