I'm so excited to be here this year in the Resource Room!
Let me start with a little bit about myself! I'm a Canadian, eh! I'm from Victoria, British Columbia on the West Coast. In school, I loved studying languages especially. I studied French in Elementary, Spanish in High School and University and tried my hand at Russian, German and Wolof while at the University of British Columbia as well. With my love of languages, I studied Linguistics and Speech Sciences, with a minor in German. I took this passion with me to Seoul, South Korea, where I decided to teach EL for a year. One year abroad turned into six great years with wonderful experiences. While I was in Korea, I met my wonderful husband and we decided to make the big move to the USA.
Over the last year I have worked at getting my American teaching credential in Special Education, and I was able to substitute at Desert Sage. It was an awesome experience where I got to know so many students and faculty here at school. Now, I feel well prepared to have my own Resource Room in Room 10!
