The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) measures a student's ability to do college work. The PSAT is a short form of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and measures verbal, mathematical and writing skills. The PSAT is the qualifying test for the scholastic scholarship competition for juniors called the National Merit Scholarship. The PSAT is not used for college admissions.

All 10th grade students will be automatically registered to take the PSAT. 11th grade students will need to pay $17 (cash or check) to the bookkeeper by Friday, October 4 in order to register to take the exam.
