    CULMINATION CEREMONY @CHS: JUNE 6 AT 1:00PM

    UPDATE: May 22, 2020

    Hello Patriots!

Please see the following information regarding our diploma ceremony on June 6, 2020 starting at 1:00pm at Centennial High School. A link will be made available through email and on our website, to all seniors and their families at 11:00am on June 6, 2020. This will allow everyone to view the virtual portion of the graduation at home. This will include speeches and a rollcall of graduates. Following the virtual graduation, students and families will be invited to join the CHS staff in the diploma ceremony. School personnel will be onsite during the celebration to direct vehicles. Please read the information below and see the attached map, to help this event run as efficiently as possible. Your patience on Saturday will be greatly appreciated as we work to give each graduate and their families a special experience. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.

    Diploma Ceremony at CHS—June 6, 2020

    1. Cars enter the CHS parking lot via Cloverdale Road. If more than one car is with the student, they must be together when they enter the parking lot. Each graduate will be limited to two vehicles. Upon reaching the tennis court area, stop and drop off your senior dressed in cap and gown. Student will proceed to the sidewalk in the front of the school and get into line per the marks on the sidewalk for social distancing.

    2. The graduate will be given a name card which will be handed to the name announcer. They will also complete photo information for Dorian Studios.

    3. When your student is next in line, wait for the previous student’s family to get back into their car and drive away. Your car then stops in front of the stage and family members can get out of the car. Your graduate’s name will be announced, and they will walk onto the stage and receive a diploma cover. This is an opportunity to take photos.

    4. The student walks off the stage and poses with the diploma cover for a photo by Dorian Studios. Dorian will mail you the proofs and you can choose whether to order photos via their website.

    5. Family members should return to the car and move along to pick up the graduate.

    6. The graduate proceeds to pick up a program and their diploma from the counseling staff. They will also receive a red rose and a white rose. The rose can be kept or given to people of their choosing.

    7. The graduate returns to their car, and the family exits the parking lot.

    UPDATE: MAY 11, 2020

    Good Evening Senior Families!

I want to get some information out regarding our virtual graduation and live culmination ceremony on June 6, 2020. We are extremely excited about events we have planned for our class of 2020.

    1) On Saturday, June 6, at 11:00am our virtual graduation will begin. A link will be sent out that gives everyone access to view graduation speeches and senior pictures of each graduate. Pictures do not need to be submitted, we will be using the student’s senior photos.

    2) Following our virtual graduation, at 1:00pm, students will be given the opportunity to come to CHS and participate in a live diploma ceremony. Students should wear their caps and gowns to this ceremony. As we adhere to social distancing guidelines, students will be dropped off in front of the building and then proceed to the stage in front of the school. Parents, guardians or relatives will remain in their vehicles. Vehicles will be directed through the parking lot and eventually to the front near the stage. At this point, families will have a great view of graduates crossing the stage with their diploma. Families are welcome to get quick pictures, pick up their graduate and then proceed to the exit. Graduates will be given recommended times to attend the diploma ceremony, but these are only recommendations (See Below). Any graduate that arrives will be honored regardless of the time. Teachers will be in caps and gowns adjacent to the stage to cheer our graduates on.

Please see the attached map for further details.
