Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Tim Kistle
I’ve been in the Treasure Valley for most of my life, moving here in the summer of 1994. I’m an avid cyclist and ex-chef with 13 years of experience in a kitchen. Culinary worked help me acquire the skills necessary to move forward through adversity and have shaped my customer service skills that I rely on today. Cycling has always been passion in my life. It provides me with endless opportunities to engage with new folks, build partnerships and create opportunities for myself and others. I have worked in education since 2009, Graduating from Boise State. After completing my student teaching at Frank Church High School in the Boise District, I joined Wisdom Ranch School in Arco, ID. I spent a year out there, but my heart was in the Treasure Valley. I joined on the Boise school district as a part time substitute for the next several years while simultaneously working as a head chef. Ultimately, I would get hired on as the teacher in the Nampa district’s alternative to expulsion program in the 2013-14 school year. From there, due to budget cuts, our program was dissolved at the end of 2014-15 school year. I would ultimately land at the Department of Juvenile Correction’s Nampa Facility after that summer, as a social studies teacher. After three years I would resign from Juvenile Corrections in November of 2018, in order to best pursue my dream job; a social studies position within the West Ada or Boise districts.
