Danielle Tinker RN, BSN

Hello! My name is Danielle Tinker and I have the privilege of being the School Nurse at Lake Hazel Elementary!

I have been in Health Care for over 13 years where I've worked in a variety of different roles and settings. Just prior to coming to the West Ada School District in 2019, I worked as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise. NICU nursing was an intense and extremely rewarding career as I was part of a healthcare team that cared for the tiniest, and sometimes, sickest patients in the hospital. I also supported various units including Pediatrics and Mother Baby.

I have such a love and passion for caring for children and I am thrilled that I now have the opportunity to make another life-long career dream come true! As a School Nurse, my goal is to not only treat the students' urgent issues and manage chronic conditions like asthma and diabetes, but to teach them how to advocate for their own health and make good decisions that will help them live long, healthy lives and be successful in all of their learning endeavors.

I was born and raised right here in Meridian, Idaho and currently live in Kuna. I have been married for 11 years to my wonderful husband Michael, who is also a Nurse in the St. Lukes Meridian Emergency Room. We have 3 incredible kids- Jace, Brooks and Paige, who are the light of our lives! We love to spend our free time camping, riding dirt bikes, boating, traveling, and watching movies.
