Remote Learning General Information

LHMS teachers and staff have been working diligently to create meaningful, standards-referenced learning materials for our students to access remotely. Each family had two options to choose from when your student’s 2nd period teacher contacted your family.

There is NO expectation that packets are printed OR submitted.

The last day for students to submit work (pre-arranged & initiated by the student/parent or teacher) is May 29th

    · Option 1: Began Monday, April 13th: Each Monday, grade-level learning materials were made available via the REMOTE LEARNING tab on the LHMS website (and are still posted). Each grade level has a dedicated packet that includes core subjects, as well as, activities from each elective class.

    · Option 2: Grade-level learning packets are available for PICK-UP at designated locations between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on the Monday of each week. Only the current week’s packet will be available for pick-up each week. Location options (preference needs to be communicated by families at least three-days prior to the pick-up date to their student's counselor or admin to allow for adequate site distribution copies) are: LHMS, Lake Hazel Elementary, Desert Sage Elementary and Silver Sage Elementary. Please look for the LHMS sign and know that measures are put in place at each location to assure social distancing & safety.

Watch for grade-level (IEP & GT) signs when picking up at LHMS, as well as, the designated "LHMS" area at elementary pick-up locations.

NOTE: May 18th will be the FINAL packet pick-up date, as the packet(s) will contain the learning materials for the remainder of the school year (June 2nd).

    · If you have a student in Mrs. Lulay or Ms. Mendoza’s classes, you will have heard from your student's teacher. A weekly packet will be available at the location you designated with the teacher.

    · If you have a student in Mr. Carter, Mrs. Goicoechea, Mrs. Zinner or Ms. Smith’s class(s), packets will be available for your student at their grade-level pick-up area or avalible online (look for the signs indicating IEP).

We miss our students and are here to support you and your family during remote learning.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your teachers, counselor, or admin with questions or requests for assistance.
