We provide healthy meals each day to students at 56 sites and employ over 200 staff members. We currently are operating under the Summer Food Service Program. This program allows us to provide Free Breakfast and Free Lunch to each student. Our sites are open for curbside meal pick up for remote learners. We also have Open to the Community curbside meal pick up for any child ages 1-18 and students that attend Virtual School House.
For the school year 2020-21, Desert Sage Elementary, Frontier Elementary, McMillan Elementary, Meridian Elementary and Ustick Elementary were awarded Fresh Fruit and Vegetable grants. The purpose of this federal assistance program is to provide an additional free fresh fruit or vegetable snack with a goal to expand fruits and vegetables children experience.
We offer After School Snack Program at Crossroads Middle School and McMillan Elementary. This program is a federally assisted snack service that fills the afternoon hunger gap for school children in an afterschool program that is regularly scheduled with activities in a structured and supervised environment, including an educational or enrichment activity.
On site meal preparation ensures that meals are served in compliance with federal, state and local health department regulations. All menus adhere to the USDA guidelines.
