Education Foundation Funds 46 Projects in January

Cliff Rice and Shaylon Black Receive Grant January 15, 2020 – The Education Foundation of West Ada School District has awarded more than $65,000 in grants for 46 projects in the school district so far this January. Their Innovative Grant Program stretches the imagination of educators by allowing them unfettered access to new and pioneering educational tools and lessons.

“Our Board of Directors help teachers achieve their learning targets through the distribution of these grants, directly impacting student engagement and ultimately equipping them for academic success,” Bernadette Sexton, executive director of the Education Foundation of West Ada School District shared.

The Board of Directors review the applications and take part in awarding the grants to teachers. The majority of the 46 projects awarded this month have been distributed personally by the Board and school district leadership.

“The possibilities derived from our foundation’s programs are vast,” Sexton explained. “The Thank a Teacher program encourages direct classroom giving for those wishing to designate their recipients, Bridging the Gap provides essential home and school needs for students in need of more support, and so much more.”
