Free Breakfast & Lunch for ALL Students

We are pleased the USDA has announced the extension of the Summer Food Service Program

West Ada Schools will be serving free meals to students enrolled in district school buildings.

USDA announced the extension of the Summer Food Service Program through December of 2020 or until funding runs out.

What does this mean for you and your kids?

All students enrolled into West Ada School buildings will be able to eat free. We are hopeful that funding will be available for the full duration of the extension. USDA will let us know and we will announce when meals will be going back to paid based on your child’s eligbility status.

What if I have a child enrolled in the Virtual School House?

Per federal regulation 7 CFR 210.2, and USDA guidance, virtual schools do not meet the definition of schools under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). With the waiver extension we are able to provide 4 open school sites for meal pick up for Virtual School House students. This will be available until December 2020 or until funds run out.

When does this start?

We will begin with our first day of school, Tuesday September 8, 2020. This includes both breakfast and Lunch. Pre-order to pick up meals at curbside.
