In our AVID classrooms we talk about how we are a family. Through the good and the bad, we have to stick together. This week’s AVID success tip is about making that happen in our whole school. What can you do this week that would make someone feel noticed or special?

Attention MMS 8th grade students. Today you will be in the Auditorium during advisory to learn about the registration process for High School. Your teacher will give you a registration packet during the announcements then escort you to the auditorium directly following the announcements. Please bring your binders with you.

Do you want to be a cheerleader next year? Then we have a class for you! It's Cheer Tumbling and it starts this Saturday at Tumble Time. This class is specifically for MMS current and future cheerleaders. It's from 10-11 a.m. and the cost is only $10. You don't need to sign up, just show up at Tumble Time this Saturday. Let's Go Chiefs!

Attention 7th grade Girls and Boys, it’s almost time for basketball! If you are interested in participating in 7th grade basketball, you can pick up forms in the main office or in front of Mrs. Farnham’s office or have your parents go online to sign you up. Even if you’ve never played before we would love to see you out there. Forms are due back to Mrs. Farnham by Feb. 27th. We look forward having a great season.

Please give a hand to our bowlers for the amazing season they had. Meridian Bowling Squads represented themselves very well at the state tournament this last weekend in Burley Idaho. All Meridian Bowlers did an amazing job and our very own Nevaeh Hull placed 4th in State overall. Congratulations to Neveah and the rest of our bowling team for a great season!

Teachers, please send students out of dress code compliance to the main office. Thank you to those students who are dressed for college and career readiness.
