West Ada School District Bus Stops and Locations

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome back to the 2017-2018 school year - we hope you and your family had a wonderful summer.

To help us better serve you, please let us know when you register/update your student online if you plan to use bus service this year.

For those who use our bus service, we have loaded stop times and locations into PowerSchool.  To check bus stop times/locations in your area, just log into PowerSchool Parent.  Once you are logged in, click on the icon of the red school house on the left side of the page.  After clicking on the icon, you may need to scroll down the page to see your bus information. If you have trouble accessing PowerSchool, the schools have access to this information as well. This information may change as students register, so please check back August 17th for final details.

If you cannot find your route information in PowerSchool, please check your address in our bus location portal here. (You may need to click the “Search” Link if your browser opens to a login page.) If your student attends one of our modified calendar or schools of choice, please use the Advanced Search feature with “Open Enrollment/Choice” as the program code.

If neither PowerSchool nor the bus location portal has bus information and you believe your student is eligible to ride a bus or would like to use bus service this year, please

Shuttle information will be posted on the WASD Transportation page August 8th.

Please have your student at the stop ready to load 5 minutes before the scheduled time. On Wednesdays (with the exception of August 23rd) busses run 15 minutes later. Notification of any stop time changes will be sent home with students in the form of a letter during the school year. These updates will also go into PowerSchool.

We will be using route numbers in place of bus numbers again this year. These numbers will be displayed on the side of the bus. Because of the size and growth of our county and the programs of our district, buses are often subbed out on route due to traffic, construction, last minute field trips, etc. By using route numbers the sub driver can easily change the number displayed on his bus while on route, making the number identifying the bus consistent for students.  We believe this will decrease a lot of confusion.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to give us a call at 208-229-8500.

We are working very hard to make your family’s experience accessing transportation services this year as positive as possible. For more information please visit the WASD Transportation page.
