Sat.School- This will be the LAST Saturday school this year! Please be in the four corners by 8:55 or you may be locked out! If you need to serve for a truancy, and cannot attend this last opportunity, please talk to your VP ASAP or you will lose class credits.  LAST CHANCE Ward 115/Reed-Heuer

Students, you are running out of time to complete your tardy time. To avoid losing credit in your classes, please make sure to attend during lunch, after school on Wednesdays, or during available Saturday schools as soon as possible. Check the daily announcements for times and locations. Each tardy is worth 30 minutes of detention, and each tardy late equals an hour of detention.

 

Very Important Announcement:  Students, if you will not be attending Rocky next year, you need to pick up a Checkout sheet from the Registrar, located in the Counseling office. You must Checkout before you leave at the end of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Juniors: Step Ahead Idaho is offering a FREE 10-hour summer session focused on finding your best college match, financial aid 101, scholarship searches, and ACT/SAT prep.  This would be very helpful to those who are low income or first in your family to go to college.  Sign up in the Career Center.

 

Seniors:  Your library account must be clear prior to graduation.  You may keep your textbook until the day of your final, but ALL items need to be returned and fines need to be paid by Friday, the 24th.  If you have questions about what you have checked out, please stop by the library or check your school email.  

 

Rocky Theatre is thrilled to announce the Acting 2 showcase. Come and enjoy 2 one act plays presented by this year's acting students. Thursday night at 7 in the auditorium. Admission is free and lots of laughs are guaranteed. Don't miss it!

 

Cheer Tryouts will be held May 20th - 24th in the gymnasium at Rocky Mountain High School. Cheer Tryout Clinic will run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20th - 22nd from 3:45 PM -5:15 PM.  The Official Judged Tryout will be Friday, May 24th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.  For more information go to:  RMcheer.wordpress.com 

ANNOUNCEMENT: FOR GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYERS- If you are interested in playing summer ball make sure to attend the next 4 open gyms because Coach Humphrey's will be evaluating players for team placement for JV and Varsity teams. Girls Basketball Open Gym is on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00-7:30.

 

Students, there are several summer volunteer opportunities posted on a bulletin board outside the career center.  Stop by and check them out!  While you're in the area, take a look at the job opportunities posted inside the career center.

 

2019-2020 VIP parking spots are for sale NOW!  Get your VIP parking spot for the first semester today.   Pull into the parking lot on the first day of school into YOUR reserved spot.  There are only 35 spots for sale...get them now because they will be gone fast.  The cost is 30.00 for the entire semester.  If you want to purchase a VIP parking spot, go to room 225 and buy your spot.  They will be on sale for two weeks only.  Get a jump start on next year and reserve your parking spot.  

 

PARKING: Please do not park in the neighborhoods around Rocky.  There is a $100 fine or your car could be towed. There are plenty of spaces here in the Rocky parking lot.   Also, the gate from Rocky going into the subdivision behind the portables will now be closed during lunch.  If you are walking to Sonic, Dutch Bros. Ect.  You will need to walk along Linder Road.  Let’s be respectful of these changes and represent Rocky and yourselves in a positive way.  

 

Students, you will need to save your ID cards as they will be used again next year (with new photos) so that your access to the building is uninterrupted. The information stored in your ID is costly to replace, so we have to collect and recycle them and re-distribute them each year. More information will follow, but please be aware that we need to collect all ID cards from all students, including this year's seniors. There is a $5.00 replacement cost for all missing ID cards.

 

Congratulations to our boys track team for winning state this past weekend! Awesome job to all the state track athletes, Coach Abbott, his staff for a job well done on the boys and girls side!

 

Congratulations to our softball team for finishing 2nd at state this past weekend! Way to play through rain, adversity, and still bring home some nice hardware! Great job Coach White and all the Grizzly softball players. 

 

Congratulations to our baseball team for finishing 3rd this weekend at state. After a tough loss to Capital in the semi-finals we rebounded nicely to beat Eagle 6-4 and finish the year strong! Nice job Coach Santa Maria and all the players. 

 

Congratulations to our tennis team for their success at state this past weekend! Our boys finished 6th and the girls finished 12th. Good season Grizzly Tennis!

 

More exciting news from Rocky Mtn. Rugby to end the season:  This past weekend, the boys Varsity team won the National Championship in Salt Lake City!  All of their hard work this season paid off at the highest level!

Senior Graduation Party will be Tuesday, May 21st at WaHooz from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am.  Ticket Sales will be under the Skywalk at lunch May 2, 3, 9, 10 - $65.  May 16, 17, 20 - $70 or $80 at the door.  You can pay with Cash, Check or Venmo.  If you would like more information or would like to volunteer to help, please email: Hallie Pedersen at rockyseniors2019@gmail.com
