Mystery Mommy Skype

Posted by Alison Ruoff on 8/31/2016

We had our first Skype call on Friday with Mrs. Cole's 4th grade class in preparation to meet with Mrs. Ackerman's Kindergarten in Kentucky on Monday.  Our Monday meeting was a success.  We learned that Mrs. A's class has 18 students and they wear uniforms to school!  We will meet with Mrs. A's class every Monday morning of the school year.  This is a great opportunity to learn outside the walls of our classroom help us become digital citizens.

We are looking for mommies and daddies to do a Mystery Skype session with us.  How Mystery Mommy/Daddy Skype works is we arrange a time for a brief 10-15 minute meeting and you have your sound on but your video off and then we try and guess who you are by asking you questions.  The kiddos love this and it is a great way for us  to practice Skype.

If you are interested, please send me a contact request in Skype to ruoffkindergarten and put in the comments who you are (ex. Joe's mom) and what time would work best for you to meet with us.  I will then email you to confirm.  If this sounds like something you would like to do, but don't know where to start or don't have Skype, you can learn about it here:  https://www.skype.com/en/
