Grading Policy

When a student has not turned in an assignment - for whatever reason - it goes in the gradebook with an orange flag - this DOES NOT effect the grade but is a visual reminder the work needs to be completed. After about a week, I will then change it to MIS. This DOES affect the grade and is a stronger visual reminder that they need to get the work completed and turned in. I will accept the work, but points will be taken off for late work. I speak to the student and remind them about missing work. After several more weeks, I will change it to a NHI (Not Handed In) it will continue to reflect as a zero in the grade book. The work will always be accepted, however they will receive no  more than 50% of the original point value. Any questions - just ask!
