Pepper Ridge is a fully accredited K-5 public school located just inside the West Ada School District boundaries near the intersection of Cloverdale and Overland roads. The school was opened in the fall of 2004 and is adjacent to Peppermint Park.
At Pepper Ridge, our students are challenged each day in their classroom in the areas of reading and math. The Success Maker program, in addition to rigorous instruction in the classroom, provides students with an opportunity to excel in academics. Our 4th and 5th grade students are encouraged to participate in leadership positions in our Student Council program. We promote programs regarding physical health, goal setting, and grade-level achievement for each and every one of our students.
Our school has 27 classrooms, a resource room, and an extended resource room. We have a full-time building counselor and nurse available to all students. Of the 2 computer labs, one is dedicated for teacher-directed instruction. In addition to core academic areas, each student attends music, library, computer, health, and P.E. classes.
We are lucky to have excellent parents to support our students and volunteer in the school. One of the main goals of our PTA is to introduce fine arts to the students through fundraisers, projects, and contests. Each year we hope to offer a variety of activities after school for Pepper Ridge students and your help will make this goal a reality. Look for opportunities this year to offer your time and talents.
Pepper Ridge students are taught to be respectful of their environment, peers, teachers, and personal property before, during, and after school. We expect each student to be good citizens at all times. Our community supports these traditional values and goals.
As the principal of Pepper Ridge, I am committed to each student and, with the support of the wonderful staff, confident that all students will be given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
