Margie McNulty

Lake Hazel Gifted & Talented (GT) Center

GT Facilitator

My name is Margie McNulty, and I am so excited to be working as a Gifted and Talented Facilitator at the Lake Hazel Center. I moved to Meridian three and a half years ago from Chico, California with my husband, Andy, who is a structural engineer. We have been married for 32 years, have a son and a daughter, and just recently became first-time grandparents to a beautiful little girl named Magnolia Ann!

I attended the University of Oregon (GO DUCKS!) where I received a B.S. in Elementary Education and have continued my training at California State University in Chico. I have been teaching for over 20 years as both an elementary teacher and GT Facilitator. I was part of a 3-year STEM project which helped me realize how much I enjoy science and love to teach engineering. I enjoy tackling STEM challenges that excite my students and push me to grow as well.

In my free time, I play tennis, and lots of it! I also like to snow ski with my son, read, and cook for my family. I am always on the hunt for new and exciting recipes to try, and thankfully have an eager family willing to taste my creations.
