Kerri Dunn

PROGRAM DIRECTOR & HEAD COACH: Kerri Dunn
Two-time National Champion and former Boise State University Cheer Captain, Kerri Dunn brings over 16 years of cheer and dance experience to Owyhee Storm Spirit. During her tenure at Boise State University, she took part in incredible opportunities such as cheering at the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, being Buster Bronco at the Hawaii Bowl the following year, taking home 2 National Titles, and traveling throughout the country for cheer-related activities.
She has over 7 years of coaching experience ranging from all-star to school cheer. Kerri has been a Legacy Spirit Head Staff Member, cheerleading and dance uniform representative for Nyce Cheer, and routine choreographer. She has experience in routine judging for both IDHSAA and local private competitions. Kerri’s experience as an athlete, her passion for cheerleading and coaching, and professionalism as an educator will make her a perfect fit for the elite program at Owyhee High School. GO STORM!

Madi Haskins

JV HEAD COACH: Madi Haskins
Madi’s experience in cheerleading began at Highland High school from 2006-2009, after years of competitive gymnastics. She cheered and competed with Boise State University from 2009-2012, where they won two National titles. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning coach through the NSCA. She loves watching athletes grow, empowering them through athletic development, and is especially excited to be a part of building the best athletes and cheer program in the Valley.

Taylor Bacon

TUMBLING TECHNIQUE COACH AND VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH: Taylor Bacon
Taylor has an extensive background in tumbling and started classes when she was 4 years old under Boise State’s current Head Gymnastics Coach, Tina Bird. She did competitive gymnastics for 8 years and ended her gymnastics career as an Idaho State Champion. Taylor was then introduced to cheer through ICU/Wings cheer in middle school, where she learned how to stunt and solidified her spot as a flyer. In the span of 2-3 months she quickly went from no experience to performing elite stunts and pyramids, and improving her tumbling skills even further (full through to full, standing handspring full, running double).
Taylor cheered locally at Mountain View High for 3 years, winning a National Title during her Sophomore year. She went on to cheer in college and is also a proud Boise State Cheer alumni! After cheer, she split the remainder of her time in college between BSU and the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. This is Taylor’s second year of coaching a Varsity-level team, and she can’t wait to bring her tumbling and stunting knowledge to Owyhee’s program alongside this incredible staff!
