Student Leadership

Student Leadership: Student Senate, Interact Club, National Honor Society, Congressional Award, Leadership Development Program

Welcome to Idaho Fine Arts Academy's (IFAA) Student Leadership page!

We hope this will be a resource for students, parents, staff and other stakeholders in the IFAA community.

IFAA'S Student Leadership Program is a unique model. It is based on the fact that we are a small 6-12 magnet school that believes in servant leadership.

Because of this we have merged different leadership and service programs into one interconnected program:

Mission:

IFAA Student Leadership's mission is to support IFAA's mission: "Building lives through artistic, scholastic and civic excellence."

Shared Values: U-CREATE

Unity
Compassion
Respect
Expression
Acceptance
Trust
Excellence

Vision:

An organization in which students, staff and parents:

  1. Communicate with each other

  2. Participate in school activities

  3. Improve our community and the world

  4. Empower students

Specific information on the structure and purposes for IFAA student leadership can be found below:

IFAA Student Leadership Constitution

Executive Committee: This group of selected students oversees both our Student Senate as well as our Interact Club and National Honor Society. Selections occur in February and Executive Committee and Senate members serve for one year.

Student Senate

Student Senate is made up of the Executive Committee and Student Senators who represent the various grade levels. There can be up to 14 Senators.

The Senate's main duties are to represent the students to the school administration as well as produce events which improve school climate. The Senate holds elections in January and Senators serve for one calendar year.

Interact Club volunteers regularly in various community events and is partnered with Caring Hearts High School in Nguluni, Kenya where we currently sponsor four students to attend school.
