Press Release
West Ada School District (WASD) began construction on the auditorium in the spring of 2020. The auditorium was added in the middle of the campus, connecting three existing buildings seamlessly.
The auditorium will bring a much needed space for students and the community for generations to come. West Ada School District is extremely thankful for this project and wants to thank all who helped make this dream come true for MHS.
“When I started as an assistant principal at Meridian High School in 2013, one of the things I kept hearing about the next phase of the MHS remodel that would include a beautiful new auditorium, but nobody knew when that was going to happen. After our main building was completed about three years ago, the Meridian Performing Arts Center finally started becoming a reality! The construction project has not been easy; however, it has been worth it! On February 22, we will open one of the most beautiful high school auditoriums I have ever seen! Our band program moved into a new space in August of 2021 and that has made a world of difference to our students. When we create beautiful spaces for our performing arts, we get beautiful results in their performances. This is something that has been much needed at our school and for our community. I am so proud of West Ada for making this dream come true for our students and school!" Jill Lilienkamp, Principal, Meridian High School
