Welcome to the Owyhee High School Library

Library Circulation Policies:

  • Students may check out up to 5 books for 3 weeks at a time.  They may renew their items for an additional 3 weeks, IF no one else is waiting for the book.

  • Students may put books on hold either from home or school.  When their requested items come in, they will be delivered to the student.

  • We do not charge any fines for overdue books.  However, if the book has not been returned in 30 days, it will be marked LOST and the student will need to either return or pay for the item.

  • If books are damaged or lost, the student is responsible for paying for that book.

  • If textbooks or class novels are damaged, fines are assessed depending on the type and amount of damage.

All Fines/Fees for library books, class novels, and/or textbooks MUST be completed prior to the end of the current school year.

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!  This is my 12th year as the School Library Media Specialist for West Ada Schools. I started off my Education career 27 years ago as a middle school teacher before working in public and school libraries.  I am originally from Michigan and have lived and worked as a high school Librarian in Georgia and Florida. I am married and have two children; Allie (25) and Griffin (21).  We have three cats; Sylvester, Winnie, and Mouse and a dog named Ky. I love reading and discussing all things about Young Adult Literature, traveling, swimming, skiing, and going to concerts.

Welcome back everyone to Owyhee! I have been pedaling books for 8 years but have been working in the school district for 11 years. I am married and have 3 children Bryce (21), Alexis (19) and Caitlyn (17). I am a military brat, was born in the Philippines on Clark Air Force Base and currently am on the Board of the National Selective Service System for our region. My favorite book genres are Fantasy, Sci Fi/Dystopian and a good Mystery. I enjoy our biannual family trips to Disney World and sitting on the sidelines taking score for my kids’ sports.
