Free and Reduced Lunch Application - must be completed EVERY year. One application can be submitted for all of the children in your family.
Holiday Assistance - Different community organizations begin contacting schools in early Fall offering holiday assistance. Some programs offer food boxes and others also offer basic necessities for Christmas (pajamas, clothing items, games, etc.). If you would like more information, please contact your student's counselor.
Idaho CareLine - call 211 to obtain social services including: rental assistance, food and clothing, KinCare, child care resources, emergency shelter, tax preparation, medical assistance, and counseling services, or visit Idaho Government. For housing assistance, ask for Navigation or call Our Path Home at 208-495-4240.
Food Banks - Meridian Food Bank - this is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing emergency food aid to our community. If you need assistance, call (208) 888-5102. Idaho Food Bank's Food Assistance Locator or page 16 of the Self Rescue Manual.
Meridian Schools Clinic - provides medical, dental, and counseling services for students in the West Ada School District. They accept most insurance plans and transportation CAN be provided by the clinic to and from school for appointments. Meridian School Clinic Telehealth - Call (208) 514-2527.
Homeless Services
West Ada School District is committed to ensuring that homeless children and youth have the ability to access education in our schools. West Ada School District has a variety of school and community resources and services to support children, youth, and families who are experiencing homelessness.
Please contact your student's school counselor if you are currently experiencing homelessness.
Self Rescue Manual
A guide to all community resources and supports in Ada County.
With a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and identifying illness early, we help prevent more serious illness later on. The clinic is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We are able to provide affordable care for children who might not otherwise be able to access care.
