Mark your calendars! It's time to get our heads in the game! Next Friday, April 12th, will be a special day at school! Students are encouraged to wear a sports jersey or shirt to school that day! We will be having a special assembly to kick off spring testing! You will hear about lots of fun incentives to rock your upcoming tests! That afternoon will also be our Boosterthon fundraiser Fun Run! We will look like true super stars when we hit the track!!
Meet our amazing resilience award recipients! These students are kids who have some amazing perseverance, and you will see them digging their heels in to accomplish whatever is in front of them. This is an amazing character trait to have and will help take these kids far in life! Way to go students, we are proud of you! Keep being resilient and crushing goals!

Something that was said about both of these amazing women was their dedication to the students of Chaparral, their willingness to jump in and help-whenever and wherever, and the constant smiles on their faces! thank you for being some of the rock stars of Chaparral!

Friendly Reminder! It is getting very very cold out in the mornings! Per District policy- we are out a recess each day as long as the temperature is above 20 degrees (or if it is raining buckets and buckets)! Please help your child come to school in the mornings with winter jackets, hats, gloves, and appropriate shoes! All of these items will make recess fun, even in cold temperatures, versus miserable! Fresh air is so important for these little learners, it is helpful that they are prepared for the day.
These students were selected by their teachers and peers for showing the virtue of RESPECT throughout our school! They earned a certificate and a Cougar shirt that shows off their amazing character traits. We are so proud of you guys! Keep being a great example for our school and your peers!

It is our pleasure to announce that West Ada School Nutrition Services will be providing FREE MEALS to children ages 1-18 this summer. We invite you to join us for a "Summer Feeding Kick Off Event" on June 9 from 12:00-12:45 at Tully Park - 2500 N. Linder Road in Meridian where School Nutrition Services will be celebrating healthy free meals for the summer with raffles and activities at this community event.

Will Woodbridge, Eagle High School senior, won the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps scholarship! Will enlisted into the Marine Delayed Entry Program in June of 2021 while also applying for the NROTC scholarship (yes, you can do both). Poolee Woodbridge quickly became a squad leader and soon after became the Guide in charge of all the other Future Marines. Great job Will!!!!
