As a friendly reminder, there is no school for students in grades PreK-8th this upcoming Friday, September 25th due to a teacher and school staff planning day.

Four Crossroads teachers will each share a different book and host an activity to bring their story to life. Families can enjoy a light snack before exploring the activities and learning more about each book.
At the end of the night, students will select the book they’d like to take home, receiving two copies: one for themselves and one for their buddy (a parent, caregiver, or other adult age 18+).
Reading is better with Books and Buddies—don’t miss it!
To help us with planning, please RSVP using one of the following options:
- Return the flyer: A hard copy flyer was sent home with your child on Friday 9/11. Fill out the bottom portion and have your student return it to the main office or their advisory teacher.

| | | Family-Teacher Conferences will take place at CMS on the evening of Wednesday October 7th and throughout the morning and evening of Thursday October 8th. - Wednesday, October 7th: 3:30-7:45 PM
- Thursday, October 8th: 8:00-11:45 AM, and 3:30-7:45 PM
To make the best use of everyone's time and limit waiting, conferences will be scheduled by appointment only.
Conference Sign Up and Format
- Sign up for your child's conference by clicking here .
- Be sure to select the correct grade level when scheduling.
- You can choose to meet with teachers in person at CMS or by phone.
- In Person Conferences: Check in at the main entrance when you arrive. At check-in, you’ll receive a schedule that provides time for you to conference with each of your child’s core teachers.
- Phone: You will receive a phone call from an unknown number at your scheduled time and you will have individual conferences with each of your child's core teachers.
- Each appointment will be 40 minutes long (four 10 minute conferences).
- 8th grade conferences last 50 minutes to include all five core teachers.
- Students are welcome to attend conferences with their parent/caregiver, but their attendance is not required.
| | | Students at Crossroads have the opportunity to participate in sports at their home school.
The upcoming fall sports opportunities at the start of the school year are as follows: - Girls' Basketball (7th and 8th Grade Combined), Start date is October 12th
- Wrestling,(6th, 7th and 8th Grade), Start date is October 19th
Our district requires all athletes register for sports through Rank One. Click here to register. Registration needs to be completed prior to a sports start date.
There are fees associated with participation in sports: - Participation Fee: $90.00
- This participation fee goes to the district and is used to help supplement athletic bussing and coaching stipends throughout the district.
- This is a required fee for the first two sports of the school year. Once an athlete has participated and paid the $90 two times, all other sports during that school year are free.
- Activity Card Fee: $22.25
- An activity card is required to participate in athletics at any West Ada Middle School.
- This money stays at the school and helps run the athletic department. This is a one-time fee, once purchased, it is good for the entire school year.
School fees can be paid with cash or check at your child's homeschool, or you can pay online with a credit card through SchoolCash Online.
