This past weekend was the National History Day State Competition. Way to go to the 14 EMS students that competed at the state level this past weekend! Ella S won 1st place for her individual performance about Elvis Presley: History’s King of Rock-n-Roll. Lydia B and Sarah B won 2nd place for their group documentary about The Jazz Singer, first movie with sound. Ella, Sarah, and Lydia will compete at the National competition in Maryland next month. Good luck ladies!


Colt Class Highlight: FCS 2 students spent two weeks preparing for a Food Truck Face Off Competition! They invited 6th grade students to "buy" their food, and it was a success!

Colt Class Highlight: Mrs. Spiers careers class learned how to be FBI agents. Her health 7 kids have completed 656 hours of community service so far this year.


6th and 7th grade GT students competed at the regional National History Day competition last weekend. Project options were research papers, documentaries, performances, websites, or exhibit boards. 14 students from EMS will move on to compete at the state level next month. An additional 18 students placed 3rd or 4th within their category. Way to go Colts!

Colt Class Highlight: Mrs. Poppler and her students were busy this week working on the production of 3 one act plays, 15 short films, and 9 Public Service Announcements.
