Idaho Fine Arts Academy Presents Unravel: A Dance and Music Collaboration Featuring Monica Palmer and Riley Johnson
Meridian, ID – November 18, 2025 – The Idaho Fine Arts Academy (IFAA) proudly presents Unravel, an evening of original dance and live music collaboration featuring IFAA’s high school dance majors and special guest artists Monica Palmer and Riley Johnson. The concert will take place at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Meridian Middle School Auditorium, located at 1507 8th St NW, Meridian, ID.
Unravel explores the intersection of contemporary dance and live instrumental performance through a dynamic fusion of string, wind, and electronic sounds. The concert showcases an array of musical styles—including improvisation, electronic, cinematic, neoclassical, and singer-songwriter influences—performed by professional musicians Monica Palmer and Riley Johnson.
The evening will feature original modern and contemporary ballet choreography by IFAA students, alongside a professional contemporary modern dance work titled Tart/Sweet, choreographed by Leslie Kraus, Artistic Director of the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company. The program also includes set dance and musical improvisation woven throughout the choreographed and composed works, highlighting the collaborative artistry and spontaneity at the heart of the performance.
Professional lighting and sound design for the concert are generously sponsored by Elevate Show Services, enhancing the visual and auditory experience for audiences.
This immersive performance experience invites audiences to witness the artistry, risk, and innovation that define IFAA’s dance and music programs, as students and professionals come together to “unravel” creative boundaries through movement and sound.
