Experience Survey Goals

Meridian High School Experience Survey Goals

Thank you for taking the time to complete the Experience Survey in November. Over the past several months, we have met with students, families, and staff to carefully review the results, celebrate our strengths, and identify meaningful experience-driven goals directly aligned to the feedback we have received.

In response, we have established the following goals:

  • Student Experience Survey Goal:

  • Increase students’ sense of connection and belonging on campus by expanding recognition efforts and implementing structured peer-connection opportunities (such as a Link Crew–type program), with the aim of improving student perceptions of enjoying school and showing respect for one another.

  • Parent Experience Survey Goal:

  • Strengthen family and student communication by ensuring timely, accurate feedback on student learning through regularly updated gradebooks and proactive positive outreach (calls, emails, and postcards), while sustaining and improving recognition efforts to enhance engagement and connection.

  • Staff Experience Survey Goal:

  • Strengthen open, honest communication and alignment with district resources and policies by ensuring timely sharing of critical district information with MHS staff, establishing clear PLC norms, and providing PLC lead training for 2026–27 to promote consistency and high implementation fidelity across teams.

These goals will intentionally guide our focus on engagement now through the beginning of 2027. We are committed to measurable progress and will provide updates along the way so you can see the impact of this work. We look forward to reflecting on our growth in the 2026 survey cycle.

With appreciation,

Brian Murphy
