Thank you for taking the time to complete the Experience Survey in November. Over the past several months, we have met with students, families, and staff to carefully review the results, celebrate our strengths, and identify meaningful experience driven goals directly aligned to your feedback.

In response, we have established the following goals:

  • Staff Experience Survey Goal: The administrative team will cultivate strong connections with district leadership and building staff by strategically inviting district leaders to present at regularly scheduled staff meetings. These presentations will be coordinated based on district staff availability and alignment with building priorities, creating meaningful opportunities for professional dialogue, shared learning, and collaborative problem-solving across all levels of the organization.

  • Student Experience Survey Goal: During the month of February, the school will implement a comprehensive kindness campaign designed to foster a culture of compassion and empathy across the entire school community. Campaign Components:

  • Intentional Classroom Instruction — Teachers will incorporate kindness-focused lessons and activities into daily instruction, helping students develop and practice empathy, respect, and consideration for others.

  • Recognition and Reinforcement — Staff will actively acknowledge and celebrate acts of kindness observed throughout the school day, reinforcing positive behaviors and inspiring peers to engage in similar actions. Kickoff

  • Assembly — An all-school assembly will launch the campaign, providing students with a shared understanding of kindness and establishing clear expectations for how to demonstrate compassionate behavior. Daily

  • Announcements — Morning announcements will feature kindness prompts and practical suggestions for ways students can show kindness to peers, staff, and the broader community throughout each day.

  • Parent Experience Survey Goal: The school will implement a comprehensive recognition program to celebrate student achievements and positive behaviors:

  • Monthly Recognition: Staff will send personalized "Thanks for Being a Star" postcards home to students, providing families with regular positive communication about their child's contributions to our school community.

  • Quarterly Celebrations: Parents will be invited to attend quarterly assemblies where students are formally recognized for exemplifying The Pepper Ridge Way and demonstrating academic excellence. These events strengthen family engagement and reinforce our school's core values.

  • Monthly Spotlight: Information about students who receive the Bear of the Month award will be published monthly through school communications, ensuring that student achievements are celebrated and shared with the broader school community

These goals will intentionally guide our focus on engagement now through the beginning of 2027. We are committed to measurable progress and will provide updates along the way so you can see the impact of this work. We look forward to reflecting on our growth in the 2026 survey cycle.

With appreciation,

Alisa Tueller, Principal
