Parents, we want to hear from you!
Schools across the state are participating in Idaho’s custom, parent engagement survey. This survey gives you the chance to tell us how schools are doing in meeting your needs.
The survey takes only a few minutes, and your responses are anonymous, and they will be critical to helping us find ways to maximize satisfaction, engagement, and communication.
Make your voice heard! https://eprovesurveys.advanc-ed.org/surveys/#/action/204888/p31849
RESPOND BY March 17 - don’t wait!

Our Preschool learned about some of our community helpers. Thank you, Star Fire Department and Star Police, for coming to our school!

Meet our wonderful School Counselor, Emma Kennedy.
My name is Emma Kennedy. This is my 3rd year as an Elementary School Counselor and my 1st year at Star Elementary. I feel so lucky to work with the wonderful teachers and staff here at Star. The thing I love most about being a school counselor is that I get to help children. Being able to help students through big emotions and support them at school brings me so much joy. My hope is that all students feel safe and valued at our school.
I love all different types of foods, but I think my favorite is Mexican food. I love reading! I recently got a Kindle and I have been enjoying it. I like mystery, suspense, romance, biography, memoirs, and self-help books. I also really enjoy listening to podcasts. In my free time, I love spending time in the mountains, hiking, riding side by sides, paddle boarding, and going to concerts.

The City of Star, Star Police, and Star SRO are teaming up for this FREE Parenting Class! Register today using the link.

We need you! Be a part of this great team at Star!

Do you need Before School and/or After School Daycare? This might be for you, and it is right here at Star Elementary!
Contact City of Star Recreation for more information. 208-908-5470

It is National School Board Appreciation Month.
What is a School Board?
The local control of public education is one of the cornerstones of a free society. The School Board Trustees are your elected representatives. They establish the policies that govern the school district and appoint the District Superintendent. Individual members have no authority to act on their own. Instead, Board action is made during formal sessions. They receive no salaries or benefits.
We thank all our Board Members who represent the 5 Zones within our District.
A special THANK YOU to our Zone 4 Representative, David Binetti.
You may attend the Monthly Board meetings in person or watch virtually. Information about the monthly meetings can be found on our District homepage at "Board of Trustees" link.
