Red Ribbon Week is going strong! Yesterday we "put a sock on drugs!"










We have Super Students at Star Elementary. Paxton visited Preschool and they got their capes on to make sure all was good outside.



Star Fire Department made a special visit to Star Elementary to help educate our first grade students about the importance of fire prevention and safety.






Star Lion's Club, continuing to support Star Elementary Teachers. Teri Hines is the recipient this month from the Star Lions Club. This grant will be used for a special project in Ms. Hines' room.


4th Grade field trip to the Old Idaho Penitentiary was a huge hit. Students learned the significance of having a penitentiary as Idaho became a state.









Applications for free/reduced meals are OPEN! Families can visit LINQ Connect - Making Schools Stronger to fill out an application to see if they qualify for free or reduced school breakfast and lunch. In addition, families may use the same link to add money to their student’s meal/nutrition account.
If you or any member of your family needs any help filling out an application, you are welcome to reach out to the Nutrition Team at 208-855-4575.




Winner!! Ghazi from Mrs. Thrones 3rd grade class was the winner of the electric scooter from our fundraiser. Thank you all who participated.




Yesterday we celebrated School Custodian Appreciation Day. We have some of The Best custodians around. Mr. Isaac, Mr. Chad and Mr. Cameron work hard every day to make all our lives easier.


Last weekend of fundraiser! Get those entries in this weekend. Our fundraiser closes this Monday, October 2.



Reading Buddies, 5th grade partnered with Kinder. Mrs. Bitonti's class reading with Mrs. Glover's and Ms. Zieglmeier's classes.











Vote for... The race for Student Council is on. 4th and 5th grade have been working hard on their campaigns. Posters are going up and student speeches will happen next week.

Grandparents Day was a Huge Success! What a special time having lunch with our grandparents. Thank you for all that were able to make it. Enjoy your official Grandparents Day this Sunday.

How:
• All visitors MUST check in at the office first to obtain a visitor sticker.
Please plan to be here a few minutes before lunch begins.
• You will meet your grandchildren in their classrooms, then walk to
lunch with them.
• Grandparents need to bring their own lunch. Children will eat the
lunch they bring, lunch from the cafeteria, or you may bring lunch
for them.
• Tables will be provided in the cafeteria, or feel free to bring a blanket
for a picnic lunch on the playground (weather permitting)
Lunch Schedules: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to get checked in before lunch
begins.
