Help choose West Ada’s new elementary music curricular resource to be used starting Fall 2026. This new resource will be central to helping our elementary music specialists grow in an early love of music in our students!
Parents and teachers will work together to review and evaluate resources, narrow options to two finalists for public review, and make a recommendation to the School Board (per District Policy 602.30 and 602.30-AR(1)). Review and evaluation will occur during meetings, so parent volunteers need to be able to commit to all the dates.
When/Where: In person meetings, 5:00pm – 6:30pm at the West Ada District Service Center on:
Wednesday, February 11th - Philosophy and why, rubric review, and rationale for vendors
Wednesday, February 18th - Review 2 curricular resource options
Wednesday, February 25th - Review 1 curricular resource option, discussion and determine top two curricular choices
Thursday, March 5th - Deeper dive into resource 1 with publisher
Wednesday, March 11th - Deeper dive into resource 2 with publisher
Top 2 choices will be on display for public review March 2nd – 13th.
Wednesday, March 25th – Review public input and final vote on curriculum materials
Wednesday, April 1st (if needed)
