Congratulations to Mrs. Knam on receiving a $912 grant from the West Ada Education Foundation!
The grant will be used to purchase Playaway books, which pair preloaded audiobooks with physical books, allowing students to listen and follow along as they read during library time! 📖🎧

🏛️🦌 A Day of Learning and Adventure!
Our Frontier 4th graders had an unforgettable field trip today! 💙💛
We started our day at the Idaho State Capitol, where we learned about the important work that takes place inside the building, explored some incredible rooms, and even visited the Governor's Office! The unexpected highlight? We got to cheer on a couple who got married right in the middle of the Capitol! 💍❤️
In the afternoon, we headed to the MK Nature Center, where we saw a HUGE sturgeon, got up close and personal with deer, and discovered all kinds of amazing Idaho wildlife! 🐟🦌
It was a fantastic day of exploring, learning, and making memories outside the classroom! We love seeing our Falcons learn about the great state we call home! 💙💛

🚒 Fire Safety First! Our first graders had a special visit from Boise Fire Department's Engine 4! They learned important fire safety tips and even took home some homework for their families: create a fire escape plan and check the smoke detectors at home!
🏝️ Stranded on a Deserted Island! Mrs. Stewart's second graders put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test while learning about the properties of materials. Their challenge? Imagine being stranded on a deserted island with nothing but a swimsuit! Using only a lunch bag, paper towel, aluminum foil, and a tin plate, students had to design and build a hat to protect themselves from the sun. Talk about thinking outside the box!

Our 4th graders have been busy learning about the regions and landforms of Idaho! To bring their learning to life, students created their own salt dough maps of Idaho, complete with major rivers, mountain ranges, and lakes.
This hands-on project was a fun way for our Falcons to put their Idaho geography knowledge into action—and get a little creative along the way!

🌾🐄 1st Grade Takes on the Ag Expo! 🚜🐓
Our first graders had a fantastic time visiting the West Ada Ag Expo, hosted by West Ada FFA members! Students had the chance to learn more about agriculture, animals, and where our food comes from through some fun, hands-on experiences.
A big thank you to the West Ada FFA members for sharing their knowledge with our Falcons and creating such a fun learning experience!

Our principal, Mrs. Dunlop, has been visiting classrooms to read with our students and talk about what it means to “Be the Ripple, Create the Wave.” Just like one small ripple can spread across the water, one act of kindness, one good choice, one helping hand, or one moment of perseverance can spread throughout our school and beyond.
Our students have been thinking about the ripples they can create—through kindness, learning, friendship, leadership, and making positive choices. When all of those little ripples come together, they can create quite a wave! 🌊
We can’t wait to see the positive impact our Falcons make this year. 🦅
