STAFF OF THE WEEK: Taylor Wreesman. Ms. Wreesman did an amazing job planning and organizing a narrative field day for our 6th graders. It went off without a hitch all because of her hard work! She has been an amazing support this year and I am so grateful to have her on my team!

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Jessy Mendez. Jessy has been so amazing with all the changes and movements going on. She so calm and level headed and just rolls with it. Our school has never looked better and it is all because of her and her crew! Thank you so much for ALL of the things you do for our school.

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Michelle Castillo. Thank you, Mrs. Castillo, for crushing it each and every day with your help and support! You always go above and beyond and truly are the hub for all things registrar! We know we can depend on you for knowledge, support, and sometime a Diet Coke! We also see the dedication you have in ensuring each classroom has coverage on days when subs are limited. From coaching to leading our staff Wellness Club, we can't imagine LHMS without you!

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Kristina Kisbye. Ms. Kisbye is such an amazing co-teacher. Whether it's helping students with an essay or their notes, her kindness and passion helps create a fun and engaging learning environment for all students. Our classroom wouldn't be the same without her!

On Friday the Honor Society took a walking field trip to Lake Hazel Elementary School again and were so impressed by the reading growth of the Kindergarten and First Graders since the fall! They were able to pair up with many of the same students and share their love of reading, as well as play at recess again, working on their leadership and service requirements.










STAFF OF THE WEEK: Nicole Beckman. Ms. Beckman's passion for teaching students reading and writing is clear through the ways she comes alongside her students and challenge them to be their best selves as students. She does not give up, rather she digs in and listens to the needs of her students. Thank you for being so great and easy to work with!

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Anna Werdel. Ms. Werdel is an amazing cheer coach (and teacher)! Cheerleading is a sport with many moving pieces, and she makes it look effortless. Her calm (but enthusiastic) demeanor is the perfect pairing with our other cheer coach. Ms. Werdel is instrumental in helping the team believe in themselves and their skills. She encourages the girls to push themselves and is always their biggest fan. Thank you, Coach Werdel!!


STAFF OF THE WEEK: Robert Brings. Thank you, Mr. Brings, for bringing the pep band to the last home basketball game. They sounded amazing and really helped create an incredible game-day atmosphere. We appreciate your dedication and school spirit!

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Jared Levanger. Mr. Levanger is a rockstar! He is always thinking about what's best for kids and is maybe the easiest person to work with! In addition, he coordinates athletics so seamlessly that no one else even needs to think about it. Busses get kids to and from activities, and he does it all behind the scenes with no fuss or noise. Thank you, Mr. Levanger, for always being such an awesome role model for our students!

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Chris Jones. Mrs. Jones goes above and beyond to make her learning environment welcoming. She meets the students where they are at and is never shy to take on a challenge. In addition, Mrs. Jones is a kind and warm individual, engaging in thoughtful conversations, caring about her peers, and stepping in whenever needed.

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Stephanie Laub. A huge thank you to Mrs. Laub, our amazing bookkeeper, for all the great things she does for LHMS! From keeping our finances in order to jumping in to help wherever she’s needed, she does it all with a smile and a can-do attitude. Her attention to detail, organization, and positive energy make such a difference every single day. We appreciate you, Mrs. Laub — thanks for keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes and for being such an important part of the LHMS family!

STAFF OF THE WEEK. Dana Erdman. Ms. Erdman has been thrown some curve balls over the past couple weeks and has handled them in stride and with a smile. She is clearly passionate about teaching her students and guiding them to be their best selves. She is also willing to adapt her situation and routines to help the larger LHMS community. STAFF OF THE WEEK: Jasmine Schooley. Ms. Schooley, the amazing efforts you've gone through to help our students, build relationships with families and staff, and just do incredible things every day have not gone unnoticed. You are a valued member of the LHMS family.

Mr. Jones, I consider it a privilege to watch you teach and to see how much knowledge and expertise you bring into your classroom, as well as a passion for getting kids to learn the material and love literature and writing. I appreciate all you do for your students. LHMS wouldn't be the same without you!

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Kristi Christensen. The way Mrs. Christensen treats students of all abilities is just really inspiring. She is willing to adjust expectations and formats to help students truly show what they know and creates a supportive, inclusive learning environment. She is patient and kind and you can tell how much she cares about all her students!

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Vanessa Cornelius and Karen Stahlecker. Mrs. Cornelius and Mrs. Stahlecker are the amazing duo that keep our media center running! They are constantly juggling the needs of teachers and students, from technology problems to i-Ready/ISAT testing to book check-out to lunchtime activities to just knowing all the things about all the things. Thank you for all you do for everyone at LHMS!

Mark your calendars! The Alpine Lynx will be hosting a wax night January 16th, at Ridgeline Bike and Ski from 5 pm -7 pm. There will be games and prizes as well as a $10 wax. We hope to see you there!

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Camron Wells. Huge shout-out to Mr. Wells, who recently put together an amazing interview experience for his students, bringing in community volunteers and helping students prepare for future jobs. Mr. Wells is always incredibly flexible and supportive—his patience and kindness make such a different to our kids!
