Today, Spalding STEM Academy's PTO held a Fun Run for us! This "Fun"draising event involved having students get pledges for them to walk for at least 30 minutes. Our course was set up in the park next to the school. We had amazing parent volunteers spread throughout the course to cheer everyone on. And we had water and a popsicle available too! We are celebrating! Some Spalding STEM Staff have unique summer plans! *Congratulations to third-grade teachers: Mrs. Bond, Mrs. Huffman, Ms. Egbert, and Mrs. Hunt. They have been awarded Scholarships to travel to Virginia to learn more about our Country’s Virginia Presidents, Visit Mt. Vernon, Monticello, Montpelier, and more! *Mrs. Roderick, our Computer Specialist, has been selected to be an instructor for i-STEM 2025 at Lewis and Clark State College in Lewiston
This week at Spalding STEM: 1) READ Week is THIS week! Monday- wear a hat, Tuesday- wear green, Wednesday- no school, Thursday- wear a shirt with a destination on it, Friday-pajama day. 2) Wednesday, March 5 is a Professional Development Day for staff- there is no school. 3) We are in the lead for elementary schools in the West Ada Hoops for Hunger campaign. 4) We are hiring- check out the West Ada website for more information. A parent newsletter was emailed this weekend, here are some highlights of what is coming up soon: PTO Meeting is March 11th Spring Break is March 15-23 Parent Input Meeting is on March 25th.
