This evening, the West Ada School Board of Trustees approved the hire of Mrs. Melissa Hampton as Spalding STEM Academy's new principal. A few of the Spalding staff decided to attend the meeting to meet Mrs. Hampton and had a chance to take a quick picture with her after the meeting. Spalding Teachers are continuing to attend classes and trainings this summer. Some of the most recent learning included: Mrs. Huffman, Mrs. Kalbfleisch, and Ms. Kisow attended a training about Reading on Thursday. It might be summer break, but many Spalding STEM teachers are spending time as students. One training that has been super engaging and beneficial this week is Thinking Maps!
