We had an amazing turn out for our first spirit day of the year!! Stay tuned for the class that will win a special brag tag for showing the most spirit! Winner will be announced on Monday!

This week, fourth grade celebrated Pioneer Day by experiencing all they have learned from their unit by washing clothes, listening to Mr. Post talk about mountain men and furs, looking at flint, steel, and fur trappers. Shout out to the fourth-grade team for bringing the history back to life for our students. @westadaschools

The Administrator of the Year Award has been announced and it is our very own Mrs. Stewart! Her leadership skills, values, and integrity in all that she does is truly extraordinary. We are incredibly lucky to have her as our Principal here at Summerwind STEM Academy. We appreciate all that you do and are elated to see you honored with this award. SW STEM Academy congratulates the winners of our school art show! Our first-place winner will go onto the District Art Show on April 18th. The theme this year was "Nature's Beauty". It was a great day at Summerwind STEM Academy! Four of our teachers received their grants from the West Ada Educational Foundation. From vertical whiteboard space to STEM Lego kits, our students will continue to learn at high levels. Yesterday, our 3rd graders had an amazing opportunity thanks to the Boise Sunrise Rotary! Each student received their very own dictionary! They learned about the importance of words and The Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do... 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? The power of words is the best gift of all. Dictionary Day is our favorite day.
