Save My Family!
In today's world, it is critical that parents are empowered to help protect their children in every way possible. The Save My Family event is geared to provide to provide you with tools, insights and resources to better enable you to understand several of the major forces that are impacting your kids' psychological, emotional, and physical well-being.
We have assembled a panel of experts to provide training and inspiration on how to successfully navigate that waters that kids and teens are caught in.
There is so much that parents don't know.
Be enlightened by the experts -- Officer Gomez, former FBI Agent Hart, pediatric neurologist, Dr. Condie, and SRO, Deputy Garza. They'll discuss social media, drugs, addiction and other issues you need to know about to keep your kids safe.
All parents are invited. Please note, this parent education event is specifically geared toward parents of kids in 4th-8th grade, however, all parents are invited.

Emily M. 's reading of "red" books throughout September paid off as this time she got drawn as the winning reader of the "Monthly Reading Challenge" raffle held in the VMS library at the end of each month. October's new reading challenge is ORANGE. Read orange books, fill out a raffle ticket in the library and hope you win from the awesome prizes.

Our WHOLE SCHOOL got to enjoy our Sept. 23rd Fuel Up to Play 60 school year kickoff, as we walked, ran or skipped our way through the VMS Fuel Up to Play Team and VMS Cheer Squad supported finish line. A special thanks to Gina Janke for putting this amazing event together for our school.





Some VMS Kodiak 6 grade students enjoying Panda Express Sept. 23, 2022, during their lunch thanks to the efforts of our VMS PTSO in partnership with Panda Express. For this first Panda Express Day PTSO was able to raise $200 profits to go right back to our school. Staff members showing they are "Kodiak Strong" frequently meeting during the week after school to enjoy some workouts under the leadership of P.E. instructor Jennifer Stoor. This year the challenge to all Kodiaks is to participate in the FitOne 5K or 10K, Sept. 24th as a VMS participant. 25 staff members and at least 100 students/parents wanted to help make our VMS FitOne Team the strongest. 25% of every dollar goes to VMS that is spent at Blaze Pizza on Eagle Rd in Meridian September 22nd from 5-8 p.m. YOU MUST SHOW THEM THE FLYER TO GET THE DONATION TOWARDS VMS. Victory Middle School has been very lucky to have Mr. Kobe Fields join us as our technology expert and fixer of all things related to our computers. He has completed all helpdesk tickets at amazing speeds while taking care of four other schools and any other duties district office gives him. We appreciate him very much and proudly call him our September Staff Member of the Month! Congratulations, Mr. Fields! Well deserved!

Student Passwords are Changing!
West Ada School District is changing student passwords!
To assist student(s) with this change, student usernames and new passwords are now accessible to parents in PowerSchool.
Middle School Student passwords will be changed at 10:00 PM on Wednesday, September 7. Students will begin the school year with their current passwords. On Thursday, September 8, 2022, students will need to use the new password displayed in PowerSchool.

Scroll down the page to find the Student Username and Student Password information

Congratulations to our three Staff Members of the Month! They contribute to a positive culture at VMS: Shelley Killpack (our bookkeeper), Angela Ashton (our secretary) and Leah Westfall (our registrar). They ensure the school runs smoothly and are helpful in all aspects of the school. Thank you, ladies, for all you do!


Westy, Is West Ada’s school districts school nutrition mascot… he loves fruits and veggies and making sure every student eats their lunch. He was at Desert Sage this week enjoying whole grain chicken nuggets, baked french fries, fresh apples and 1%milk.

6th graders and new to VMS students are invited to participate in Kodiak Kickoff on Tuesday, August 16th! We will have sessions starting every hour beginning at 3 pm with the last session starting at 6 pm. The sessions will start in the main gym with a brief presentation. Students will then participate in a scavenger hunt including finding their classes, opening their locker and touring the school. We look forward to seeing you on August 16th!

For those families interested in or in need of transportation (bussing) 🚌 for the 2022-23 school year, the transportation form MUST be submitted in PowerSchool no later than Friday, August 12 to secure bussing for the first day of school.
After August 12, families will have to wait until September 12 to receive a bus route and transportation information for their child(ren).
We thank you for your assistance and cooperation in this matter to ensure that all bussing runs smoothly and effectively for the start of the school year.
At this time, families who have already completed the transportation form in PowerSchool are receiving route information in PowerSchool on average, in 3-5 days.
Please make every effort to take care of this in a timely manner, should it apply to you and your family.
