Staff Of The Week: Mrs. Rudolph is great at--well, everything--but especially being the NJHS Advisor. While she makes it look easy, there is a lot of behind the scenes work and countless hours that she puts in. This role is on top of her already being an amazing teacher. I have enjoyed working with Mrs. Rudolph and know the LHMS Staff is better because of her!

Staff Of The Week: Charlotte Mitchell has been unfailingly flexible as she provides student support in a variety of roles each class period. Each of my students with whom she works is finding success with her partnership. I appreciate Ms. Mitchell and her steadfast effort for LHMS. She has gone above and beyond her duties as a Paraprofessional.

STAFF OF THE WEEK: Ms. Shapiro has a such a kind and warm spirit! Her warm energy helps students feel comfortable and helps them grow as learners. Ms. Shapiro's willingness to accommodate specific student's needs and her compassion are two of the things that really stand out about her. Students often share that her caring attitude is meaningful to them. We are lucky to have Ms. Shapiro as part of the LHMS staff!
There are people who are born to teach because their dedication and passion goes above and beyond the traditional classroom. Their talent for teaching is apparent in the earliest days of their career. LHMS is lucky to have one of these individuals in our building. Congratulations to our very own Annalisa Nava for being selected as West Ada School District's Middle School Rookie of the Year!
Staff Of The Week: Mrs. Christensen! Having change part-way through the school year is tough, not jut on the department but also for all staff. Thank you for stepping up and taking on the extra work with grading and making sure PE still runs smoothly for the students. It is one of many ways that you step in to help others, from supporting new coaches to taking the lead in collaborative activities. Your dedication to the LHMS students and the LHMS Staff is appreciated!

This weekend NJHS and Student Council cleaned up the Red Ribbon Week area and helped re-install the Pinwheel for Child Abuse Prevention on our fences!
Staff Of The Week: Anna. Werdel is always the first to arrive and one of the last to leave at the end of the day. Hers is always the first car I spy as I roll into school each morning. Her commitment to her students is unparalleled, and she is always supportive and kind to her peers. We are lucky to have such a good department head!
Mountain View High School Mountain Bike Team invites all interested 5th – 11th grade students to participate in the upcoming season, regardless of experience. A parent/athlete meeting is this Thursday, March 28, for anyone curious and wanting to learn more.

I can see that this was a huge undertaking, especially more recently, with so many needing your expertise to work appropriately. NJHS to Lake Hazel Elementary for Read Across America Week. Not only did they visit seven different classes, they also enjoyed 15 minute of morning recess. As you can probably guess, they really enjoyed the recess!
NJHS students took a trip to Lake Hazel Elementary to read to Kindergarten/1st grade classes for Read Across America Week celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday.
Staff Of The Week: Mrs. Cornelius is so accommodating with my class in the library for advisory. She always has the announcements up and ready to go for us so that I don't have to worry about it. She frequently loans us supplies and always has a smile on her face. She helps me begin my day on a positive note!
While Mrs. Conrelius is always doing great things in the library for staff and students, this week she is the hero because she had extra chargers for us to keep in our classrooms.
Staff Of The Week: Ms. Erdman celebrated Room 504's participation in her art initiative with welcoming enthusiasm. She offered material and guidance to support their success and worked closely with me to ensure their submissions were presented in a way both accessible and in accommodation of their needs. Her small effort went a very long way for my crew and their families.
