Dr. Lewis shared with our kindergartners about dental health during National Children’s Dental Health month. Each kid got to take home a gift bag with a new toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste. Thank you, Dr. Lewis!






Happy Leap Year! PTO put together a “Leap Frog Challenge” where students had to find as many tiny frogs around the school as they can. The winner will be announced tomorrow with a reward of an extra recess.






Thank you Star Police and Ada County Sheriff's Department for your continued commitment and support in helping Star Elementary practice our lockdown drill. These practice drills allow us to evaluate our emergency operation plans and improve our response skills.


Star Elementary staff and parents will be featured in a Local News 6 article regarding Star's rapid growth and its impact on our school including class sizes. The article is called "Too much growth for this small-town school!"

Third Grade was able to take a field trip to see the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra Concert today. From Medieval, Renaissance, and Bach to big band jazz and row, row, row your boat; students were taken by time machine across the ages to sample different styles of music. Many students were also excited for their first time on a field trip and first time riding a bus.
