Worried about having better grades? If you have not done so already, please read the "Proficiency Reporting Policy" in full detail: https://www.westada.org/o/vms/page/proficiency-reporting-policy. In the last couple of years, re-doing any assessment that has less than a 95% proficiency is just a matter of scheduling the re-do with your teacher and/or communicating with your teacher you have resubmitted any evidence BEFORE the late work deadline. Students, THIS FRIDAY IS THE LATE WORK DEADLINE! Do not miss getting any work in by 3:05 p.m. Friday that you want counted towards the last couple of weeks.

FRANCE AND ITALY - SUMMER 2025 Dear families, We’re going to France and Italy in Summer 2025, and you’re invited! We’re excited to tell you more about the trip we’re planning with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. Chess Club is THURSDAYS during ALL three lunches! Please make sure to please eat in the cafeteria the first ten minutes of lunch. Then, if you are a sixth grader, you will be going to Mr. Rethy's room 108 to play chess. 6th graders, please do make sure to pick up a pass during break from Mr. Rethy on the day of chess club. If you are a 7th grader, Mrs. Shalz will meet you with boards in the cafeteria and you will be able to just stay in the cafeteria and play. If you are an 8th grader, Ms. Cornell will meet you with the boards in the cafeteria and you will be able to just stay in the cafeteria and play.. If you do not know how to play, all three teachers are able to teach you, so you are not required to know chess to join Chess Club. This year we hope to crown a Chess Queen and Chess King for each grade level by the end of the year! Will it be you? We also will consider hosting advisory representatives playing against each other during Chess Club. Talk to Mr. Rethy, Mrs. Shalz or Ms. Cornell for more information.

READY or NOT..... iREADY math diagnostic test is taking place tomorrow at VMS in all grades! Please make sure to get a really good night's sleep, eat breakfast and have a "can do" attitude first thing in the morning. Students, your iReady tests help with your math placement, so you will want to do as well as you can.
