TODAY is School Lunch Hero Day!
This is a wonderful opportunity to honor the hard work and dedication of our School Nutrition professionals. These individuals show up every day to provide nourishing meals to the students of West Ada, and it's important that we recognize their efforts.
THANK YOU, VMS LUNCH HEROES!
Let’s all take part in this special day by showing our appreciation with notes from students, thank-you signs, and simple gestures like telling them “you rock.” These men and woman arrive at 5:00am to ensure that breakfast and lunch are ready for our students to start their day of learning every day. Let’s make sure they know how much we value and appreciate all that they do.

Next week from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., our VMS library will be hosting its annual Book Fair. Our librarian, Mrs. Bollinger, and her assistant, Mrs. Skaggs, welcome you to make purchases for your family or friends and even want you to consider Teacher Appreciation Week gifts. Whomever you're buying books for, the joy of a fun Book Fair is always to be had at VMS. Don't miss it!

CONGRATULATIONS to Owen Hodson who won the documentary category for the Idaho Kiwanis Teen Film Festival this past weekend! He is now $300 richer and all smiles after experiencing what it's like to be a superstar with limo ride and a photo shoot. Ms. Cornell, his filmmaking teacher, always says "it takes guts to compete," and in her opinion "Owen has proven that even when he's under the weather, he will go above and beyond fearlessly with his efforts." We're so proud of you, Owen!
