A huge thank you to Mrs. Kaldenberg for all of the behind-the-scenes work that made it such a success, and to our families for coming out to support our students. What a joyful way to celebrate the season! ❤️🎶

In Kindergarten, Mrs. Tamura’s class practiced spelling short vowel words with a fun and active “Write the Room” activity. 📝💡
In 1st grade, Mrs. Medley’s students became inventors—designing umbrellas that wouldn’t blow away by studying how plants use their external parts to survive and thrive. ☔🌱
Our 3rd graders in Mrs. LaMay’s and Mrs. Leishman’s classes enjoyed a full STEM day packed with hands-on learning. They even engineered their own Thanksgiving Day balloons inspired by the Macy’s parade! 🎈🧪
So much creativity and curiosity at Frontier! 💙🤍

They learned about Idaho’s five tribes, including their origin stories and the resources they used to create clothing, tools, and shelter. After the guided tour and hands-on activity, students had time to explore the museum on their own.
A definite fan favorite? The two-headed calf exhibit! 🐮

Mrs. Dutcher’s class had the joy of fostering Buffy the bunny during October — and it’s safe to say her students (and the staff!) quickly fell in love. 💕
Buffy is now back at the Idaho Humane Society and looking for her forever home!

🎃👻 Frontier’s Annual Halloween Parade & Party! 👻🎃
Get ready for some spooky fun! On Friday, October 31st, Frontier will be hosting our Annual Halloween Parade and Party, and we’d love for our parents and families to join the fun! Come celebrate with your children and enjoy the parade beginning at approximately 3:05 PM.
Parents are encouraged to dress up and participate alongside their kids — we can’t wait to see all the creative costumes!
🧡 Costume Guidelines:
Costumes should come to school in a bag and students should be able to put them on independently.
No masks, face paint, hair dye, or weapons are allowed.
Costumes are available at school for students who do not have one.
🎯 For students who prefer not to join in the Halloween-themed activities, recess games and a fall-themed classroom will be available.
We can’t wait to celebrate a safe, fun, and festive Halloween together! 🎃✨

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing Frontier families for coming to Parent-Teacher Conferences over the last few days! We loved the opportunity to build relationships, celebrate your children’s successes, and work together as a team to support their growth.
Your partnership makes all the difference—Falcon families are the best!

Each month, buddies get together for special activities, learning, and lots of laughter. From reading stories to creating crafts, our Falcons are building friendships that make our school feel like family. 🦅✨
It’s amazing to see the older students step up as leaders and role models while the younger ones gain confidence and new friends. 💛💙
The smiles say it all — from curious cows and playful pigs to giant tractors, our Falcons had a blast discovering the world of agriculture! 🌾💛
A huge thank you to the Meridian FFA Chapter for giving our students such a memorable experience!
The goal of this work is to transform classrooms from places where students passively mimic procedures into spaces where they are actively engaged in deep, collaborative, and persistent thinking. And it’s happening across our school—Falcons from Kindergarten through 5th grade are tackling thinking tasks with curiosity, determination, and creativity.
We are so proud of our students—our kids are true mathematicians! ✨➕➗

Earlier this month, we were lucky to welcome Holly Horch, author of "Hiking with Kids Idaho: 50 Great Hikes for Families". Holly visited both 4th grade classes to share her knowledge of Idaho and inspire our students to get outside and explore the beauty of our state. 🥾💛

These gatherings give every child a supportive group they can count on—helping us grow a school community where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected. 💛

They explored the color green, created fun camping-themed crafts, and even made their own solar s’mores. 🍫✨
It was the perfect mix of learning, creativity, and sweet treats!
