Our young stars from kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade truly shined bright during today's Christmas program. Their enthusiasm and talent filled the room with joy and holiday cheer!

Mrs. Knam and Mrs. Clark were recognized yesterday by Dr. Bub and Chairman Frazier as two of the district Employee of the Month for West Ada. They are both very deserving as they put their all into what they do and are as loyal as they come to our
students here at Frontier. The work they have done at Frontier is something to be honored and celebrated. We are proud of you and we are thrilled to lift you up and give you a moment to shine! Thank you for all you do at Frontier each and every month of the year.

Spreading joy this holiday season! 🎶🎄 Our adorable kindergarteners visited the Salmon Creek Retirement Home today, filling the halls with the sweet sounds of Christmas carols. The smiles on both young and old faces were priceless – a heartwarming reminder of the power of music and community.

Today was a magical journey to the 'North Pole' with our incredible students! ❄️✨ Working alongside their buddies, they spun enchanting tales about a day in this winter wonderland. Creativity and imagination were in full swing, making every moment a frosty adventure!

A huge shoutout to the Meridian Rotary Club for their incredible support of our school and families! Your dedication to our community shines through in every initiative and sponsorship. Our kids are getting in to the holiday spirit here at Frontier. Last Friday they were asked to dress up at a holiday character, and they did not disappoint!

What an exciting day at Frontier yesterday! We had a surprise visit from Andy Armadillo to honor our top three sellers from the Texas Roadhouse fundraiser. Huge congrats to these students for their hard work!

December is a busy month at Frontier. Be sure to mark your calendars for upcoming events.

We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Texas Roadhouse of Meridian, Complete Office, CapEd Credit Union, and The Village at Meridian for their incredible support of our students and staff at Frontier Elementary.
Their generous contribution has made a remarkable impact on our students' learning journey. With their support, we can continue to provide enriching experiences and resources that inspire young minds to soar.

Over the past two days, Frontier staff members attended the "Synergizing Restorative Practices, PBIS & Traditional Consequences" conference. Restorative practices involves building positive relationships among all members of Frontier, repairing strained relationships, and identifying the root cause of behaviors and strategies to change behaviors.
Frontier put restorative practices into place last school year, and leaving this conference it's clear that we are headed in the right direction. We have good ideas to create an even better system to make it more effective and accountable. Frontier is putting in the hard work to make our great school even better.

Our school counselor, Mrs. Buffington, recently received a Donor's Choose Grant allowing her to purchase several board and card games for our students to play during their lunch. Playing games with peers is a great way for our students to learn social skills and practice self regulation.
"Lunch Times Games" is off to a great start, and Mrs. Buffington recently had this to say about it: "Getting to spend time with students utilizing the games you helped me purchase has been such a fun way to teach these kids such important skills. I have seen kids inviting others to join them, encouraging each other when someone is frustrated or sad when they don't win, and even helping each other co-regulate when needed."

Shout out to November's Mathematicians of the Month!
Most kids might tell you that a mathematician is someone who is really good at math, but not these kids! These learners know that a mathematician is someone who plays with numbers, is curious, makes mistakes, determines if answers are reasonable, and tries and tries again if it's not.
Keep it up, Frontier Mathematicians!

We're thrilled to announce that Frontier has been nominated by the State of Idaho for the National Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Distinguished School Award!
Our staff was surprised by a visit from Superintendent Bub, Director of Federal Programs Rhonda McDonough, Federal Programs Coordinator Shannon Drum, and Chief Academic Officer Marcus Meyers to announce this incredible nomination.
Being recognized for exceptional student performance and academic growth is a testament to the hard work of our amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive community. Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey!

At Frontier, we believe in building positive relationships among our amazing students! This year, we've introduced a fantastic initiative: every classroom has been buddied up with another class!
This unique partnership is all about creating meaningful connections, fostering friendships, and learning from each other. Whether it's sharing ideas, working on projects together, or simply getting to know each other, our students are building bridges that span across grades and ages.
We're thrilled to witness the positive impact these budding friendships are having within our school community. The joy, collaboration, and support radiating from these partnerships are truly inspiring!
Together, we're cultivating a culture of empathy, understanding, and unity at Frontier.

At Frontier, our students are reaching new heights! They've been earning these awesome brag tags as a testament to their hard work and dedication in school. From stellar achievements to remarkable efforts, these tags represent their incredible journey of learning and growth.

Before heading off to break, our kindergarten chefs had an early Thanksgiving celebration! They put their kitchen skills to work, whipping up homemade bread from scratch and shaking up some creamy butter. Watching these kindergarten superstars embrace tradition and create delicious treats was the highlight of our day!
