We welcome families to our 3rd Grade Music Performance to honor our Veterans on Wednesday, November 11th at 3:00 PM. Our 3rd grade students will be performing songs to pay tribute to our nations Veterans and celebrate the branches of our military. The performance begins at 3:00 PM in the gymnasium.

STEM Night is on Monday, November 9th at Silver Sage! Join us for an evening of fun and engaging activities that excite students (and parents too!) to all things Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The event is open house style from 5:30-7:30 PM. Come for part, or join us for the full amount of time! Let's explore!

Start your Holiday Shopping by joining us at the Silver Sage Holiday Bazaar! This Saturday, on November 7th, we will have makers, vendors, food trucks and coffee to help you get a start to your Holiday Shopping. No need to leave your neighborhood, it's happening right here! Tuesday, November 3rd is Election Day. There will be no school for students and staff will be in Professional Learning. See you all on Wednesday.

Start your Halloween Weekend with Silver Sage at our Trunk-or-Treat! Join us with your costumes for some community fun and start stocking up on some candy. 6:00-7:00 PM on Friday October 30th!

This week is National School Lunch Week! Check out the menu which includes same of student's favorites with a small twist. Thank you to our Nutrition team that provides these great meals for our students!

1st Grade recently got a lesson about fire safety from some local heroes - Fire Fighters! They brough their truck to Silver Sage and helped students understand their jobs to keep our community safe, along with providing reminders about what students can do to help keep themselves safe too! Thankyou for visiting, students love hearing from some local experts!

The next few weeks are busy! Here is a quick look at big events for the school. Be sure to stay informed and updated. The school sends emails and text messages with newsletters and reminders. If you do not receive these, check with the office to make sure all your info is correct! Also, follow Silver Sage Elementary and Silver Sage PTO on Instagram and Facebook. Fun and informative content is sent out to see what's happening at school!

Students and staff showed their team spirit on Friday! We had good representation of teams and lots of smiles!

Please join us on Thursday, August 27 at 6:00 PM for Back to School Night. This event is for our families to learn about the Silver Sage, the curriculum, events, PTO, and hear from the staff. The night will begin in the gymnasium for staff introductions and to hear from our Principal Mrs. Spittle about school wide topics. After that you are invited to your students classrooms to hear from their teachers about more details that are specific to their grade and classroom. This is a great way to get the year started and we can’t wait to see you there!

Este evento es para que nuestras familias aprendan sobre Silver Sage, el currículo, eventos, PTO y escuchen al personal. La noche comenzará en el gimnasio con presentaciones del personal y para escuchar a nuestra directora, la Sra. Spittle, sobre temas generales de la escuela. Después de eso, están invitados a las aulas de sus estudiantes para escuchar a sus maestros sobre más detalles específicos de su grado y aula. ¡Es una excelente manera de comenzar el año y no podemos esperar a verlos allí!

We are just wrapping up our first full week of school and the learning is taking off! These student's have been learning about thinking maps and practiced using a circle map. Circle maps capture the main idea and then they brainstorm around the main idea topic. The first graders collaborated and spelled together with no teacher help!

This year we are updating our policies with celebrating student birthdays. In order to support a healthy learning environment, protect instructional time, and align with the district wellness policy, we are no longer allowing treats for student birthdays. Fun non-edible alternatives are welcome to help celebrate and have fun with classmates. Thank you for your assistance as we make this change.
Families are welcome to join student's for their Birthday's in the lunchroom (or any special occasion) and we have a table available for you to enjoy your meal with them.

As the year starts, please remember some of our keys to keeping our Stallions safe during pick up and drop off. Watch for crossing guards and follow their prompts to ensure you can make it through the line timely and safely. We have staff to help open and close car doors so there is no need for you to get out. The line is a no passing line and all cars must remain single file. If you want to help your student, please park in a parking space and walk them to the sidewalk.

We are back! It has been so fun to fill the halls and playgrounds with our students and staff! We have been learning about our expectations and enjoying time with our classmates and friends! It's going to be a great year to be a Stallion!

The start of the school year is coming up fast! There are a few important dates to put in your calendars to make sure to start the year off right!
Tuesday August 11th form 3:30-4:30 PM is our Meet the Teacher event! You are invited to come and meet your teacher and staff, make sure you know where your room is, and bring your supplies to drop off so you are ready.
Wednesday August 12th is our first day of school. Wednesday's are late start (9:25). If you ride a bus, your pick up times will be adjusted by 10 minutes on Wednesday. It is a full day of school.
Thursday August 27th is our Back to School Night from 6:00-7:30 PM. More details to come, but it will be a time for parents to hear about their student's classes from their teacher and get more information about curriculum and class events.
