Last week Silver Sage hosted a STEM day to help engage students in activities that teach them about Science, Technoloy, Engineering, & Math. We had volunteers giving us time and expertise to excite ours students! Thank you to those parents and the Mountain View High School student volunteers. Our students had an absolute blast!

3rd graders in Mrs. Keserovic's class had to "Glow what they Know" today! Students had to answer questions correctly to earn points in order to play some games in the dark! What a fun way to prepare for the upcoming ISAT's, prove what they know, practice their skills and have fun!

IBOB stands for Idaho Battle of the Books. We had some 4th & 5th grade students working hard in teams to read 16 books, learning about the settings, characters, and as many details as possible. On Saturday, two of our teams, The Elite Bookworms and The Doughnuts competed to answer questions about all of these books. Our teams made it to the Semi Finals! They represented Silver Sage and we are so proud of them! Thanks to their coaches Mrs. Jimenez and Mrs. Dover and for their dedication and helping the teams with their success!

Rady. Set. Scratch!!! Scratch for Schools with the Idaho Lottery is always a ton of fun, but then to add some $$$ for Silver Sage on top of it is so great! Thanks to Mrs. Stanfill, Mrs. Smock, and PTO's Constance for their enthusiasm, smiles, and bringing home some money for Silver Sage!

On Thursday we invited our first grade families to their students music performance. Students were so excited to sing for their families! It was a great time to get together as a community to celebrate these kiddos and their hard work. 1st grade - way to go!

We have the power to do great things at Silve Sage! Each month we focus on one of our Learner Powers. This month, we are focusing on the power to collaborate. To help learn this, we are working together to finish a mural on the board. When our teachers notice students doing kind things, they get a set of stickers to put on the mural. They have to match the color to a letter that shows where it goes on the mural. The whole school is working together to be kind so that we get all the stickers we need to finish! What do you think the final picture will be? Keep being kind and let's collaborate!

On Thursday during lunch, Silver Sage had some guests from J.R. Simplot Company visit students to celebrate "Digging into school breakfast" this week. After students had their delicious meals, they got a chance to pick out some sweet swag. Students loved having visitors, and of course they loved their lunches too!

Today we celebrated Kindness by having a special lunch. Students were invited to dress their best and use their manners, and when they arrived to the cafeteria, they were met with fun decorations and a treat to make their lunch today memorable! We loved seeing their faces light up as they walked in for special lunch, and we heard lots of "Please" and "Thank You" coming from our kind students.
